Relationship Reset

Let’s be honest, relationships are messy. People are messy. Add in the day-to-day stressors, endless errands, and the non-stop on-the-go culture we live in; and before long our relationships suffer or feel completely broken.

Thankfully, we serve a God of 2nd chances. With His help, we all have the ability to hit the “reset” button on our relationships. Join us for Relationship Reset as we learn to apply God’s word to all of our relationships so that we can live the life that God desires for us. Regardless of your season of life…this series is for you. Whether you’re married, with grandkids, divorced, single, or just playing the waiting game, God’s word applies to you. If your marriage is strong, it can be stronger, if it’s weak, this series can help strengthen it. If you’re single, divorced, or wanting to be married one day, this series will help prepare you for that future relationship. If you want to be the person someone will want to marry one day, or you want to be the person your spouse will want to stay married to, this series is for you.

His Hands

It’s overwhelming to imagine that just reading this meant you had to do most of the work using your hands – and that’s a mere 60 seconds out of your entire day. Now think about the hands of someone else. Someone named Jesus. In the New Testament, we see His Hands touching sinners, healing the sick, and redeeming the broken. His Hands brought blessings to children and honor to the outcast. Jesus used His Hands to break the bread and pass the cup to His disciples the night before He died on the cross. His Hands were also willingly outstretched upon the cross so the nails could be driven through His Flesh. As reclaimed image-bearers of Jesus, we are called to care, love, and serve like Jesus; to ultimately be His Hands and feet to those around us.

Love Like Jesus

Jesus: friend to prostitutes, tax-collectors, liars, thieves, and sinners.

Jesus chose to hang around people that didn’t smell good, look good, or act the way they were “supposed to” during that time. And people thought he was crazy. Does the One that that hung out with those people, our Lord and Savior, command us to do the very same thing? Does that really apply to me in 2019 – befriending prostitutes, tax-collectors, liars, thieves, and sinners?

Holy Spirit

Odds are, if you’ve ever picked up a Bible you’ve seen the words “Holy Spirit” or “Holy Ghost” mentioned. In fact, the Spirit of God is mentioned over 800 times in scripture. In the New Testament, right before He leaves the disciples, Jesus gives them something very special…He gave them the gift of His Spirit. With this gift they got to do incredible things for God! For those who are disciples of Christ, the Bible promises that we have the same Holy Spirit living in us, and that He will never, ever leave us, nor forsake us.
