Request: Please pray for healing & relief of pain for our son-in-law, Bryan. He just returned back to the states from Iraq and had to have surgery on May 9, and another surgery on May 12, to try to drain some fluid from the infection in his thigh. The doctors also had to remove some dead tissue. He is in a lot of pain since the second surgery. He will hopefully get to go home in the next couple of days, but could take a few months to heal. Also, pray for Bryan & Missy's (Val's daughter) adjustment after a 15 month separation while Bryan was in Iraq.

Prayers also as we go to North Central Myanmar on June 17. We will have meetings to setup the pig/fish farming micro-business church plant project, do some teaching, and whatever else the Lord has in store for us.

Request: Thank you for your prayers. Sunday (May 4) I had asked for prayers regarding my job being cut to only four days a week resulting in a serious hardship. Monday our company received four purchase orders from a buyer. It is too early to tell if it will help the company's financial situation enough to keep us working five days a week, but God is good!

Praise that Brenda is now back from China & her ankle held up well. She could feel the strength of your prayers, and it gave her an acceptance that whatever happened would be part of God's plan - thanks! Now, please pray that the doctors figure out the right course of action.
Request from: Jim Lugannani

Request: Brenda has Stage IV osteonecrosis (there are only four stages) - basically the bone below her ankle bone (the talar dome) is dead and deteriorating. There's a big hole in the middle of the bone, lots of bone fragments, fluid, etc. The doctor doesn't know why she is walking. Options are not good----for now cortisone and Celebrex. The doctor wants to scope her ankle in May to try and dig out some of the bone fragments, arthritis, inflamed tissue and then will treat with cortisone as needed. She won't have to watch how frequently she has cortisone since there is nothing in the joint to destroy. Please pray that: 1) Brenda will be pain free and the ankle will not collapse before she gets back from China on April 28. 2) Guidance for next steps for Brenda and with doctors. 3) That the osteonecrosis has not spread to other joints.

Request: On March 10, on my way back to my class, my heart started beating wildly and my chest was hurting. The paramedics were called and I was taken to the ER at Medical Center of Plano. After I being stablized, I was moved to the cardiac floor. Tests showed that I had previously had a heart attack and at the same time the CAT scan showed an irregularity in my upper chest. Another doctor was called in and with more tests they learned that my stomach intestines and such were upside down and in the wrong place. I will have to have surgery as soon as my heart is regular for a period of time. I am on plenty of medication and feel confident that I have good doctors, but that I have the great physican looking over me. I know this next surgery will happen within the next 10 weeks. Please pray for me and that the good doctors that have been with me will be guided by the great physican. Thanks...Anneta
