Welcome to Cross Bend Christian Church! We are excited that you are visiting our website!

As Senior Pastor of Cross Bend, it is my privilege to invite you and your family to worship with us this Sunday. Cross Bend is a place where you can come as you are, experience dynamic and authentic worship, and hear biblical teaching presented in an easy to understand way for everyday life. Simply put, we want to be a church for everyday average people; wherever you are at in your walk with the Lord, from total stranger to long time disciple, you have a place at Cross Bend.  I look forward to worshiping with you soon! If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate getting in touch with us. So, please enjoy our website as you learn more about us. I hope you will visit one of our worship services soon. I believe you will feel welcome and at home on your first visit.

Current Sermon Series
Have you ever stopped to think how many times we use our hands throughout the course of one day?
It’s overwhelming to imagine that just reading this email meant you had to do most of the work using your hands – and that’s a mere 60 seconds out of your entire day. What about when you wake up in the morning? What do you use to turn off your alarm? Pull back the covers? Brush your teeth? Turn on the shower? The truth is, our hands are a lot more powerful – and useful – than we give them credit for.
Now think about the hands of someone else. Someone named Jesus. In the New Testament, we see His Hands touching sinners, healing the sick, and redeeming the broken. His Hands brought blessings to children and honor to the outcast. Jesus used His Hands to break the bread and pass the cup to His disciples the night before He died on the cross. His Hands were also willingly outstretched upon the cross so the nails could be driven through His Flesh. 1 Corinthians 12:27 tells us that “we are the Body of Christ and each one of us is a part of it”. As reclaimed image-bearers of Jesus, we are called to care, love, and serve like Jesus; to ultimately be His Hands and feet to those around us.
Have you ever given much thought to how you can cultivate and express a heart of love for others, not as a means to show your own righteousness, but as a way to honor Jesus by being His hands and feet. Join us this Sunday as we begin a new series demonstrating and learning how we, the Church, can be His Hands today to a world in desperate need of Our Savior.

--- Our Pastor

“Our heart & soul is to connect people with the living and powerful God.”

Tom has been in the ministry for over 23 years and joined the staff at Cross Bend in 2001 where he served as the Youth and Children’s Pastor.  In 2011 he became Senior Pastor and is very excited about the amazing things God has in store at Cross Bend.  He met his wife, Shawn, while he was a student at Dallas Christian College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Bible. After a career in Interior Design, Shawn felt called to be a “missionary” in the public school system where she serves as a Art Teacher in a local Junior High School.  Together they have served the Lord and have shared their passion for “working in the trenches” ever since.  Tom enjoys many activities including woodworking, fly fishing, and spending time with his family.  Tom and Shawn have two children, Hunter and Laurie Ann.
